Dentist

I am interested in being a Dentist because I would like to help others and feel good about what I do every day. I would not mind having to work full time and even though I may work weekends sometimes that not that bad. Also, being able to be self employed is really nice and being able to not only do that but expand my business and grow my company around the world would be great. That is a big challenge but I would give it my all to accomplish it if I chose to go into this job. The money that a Dentist is amazing too but I am not to worried about that overall but more about if I enjoy the job. I will have to go to college and get a Bachelor's degree, major in science, pass the DAT, 2-4 year dental training, and must be licensed in the state I want to work at. The entry level salary as a Dentist is $159,770 per year and $76.81 per hour. As a Dentist I will have to work full time, work evenings, work weekends sometime, and hours will vary greatly among dentists.

Airline Pilot

I am also quite interested in being an Airline Pilot because I have always loved being in planes and in the sky. This job also is very important because other people's lives are put in the hands of the pilot and it is his job to bring them to their destination safely. Now there is the downside of flying an average of 75 hours per month and work an additional 150 hours per month which would mean a lot of jet lag and getting my hours of the day mixed up. Also, as a airline pilot there is a considerable amount of time away from home. The upside to all this though is I enjoy being in planes and they make a substantial amount of money Airline Pilots entry level salary is $105,720 per year. Prior experience as commercial pilot is needed which I don't mind but also I would need a Bachelor's degree, FAA and ATP certificate, prior work experience in flying, a commercial pilot's license and a 2-4 year flight school. Overall this seems like a great job though.

Zoologist

I am interested in this career because it involves a lot of exploring and learning. Also, I like animals a lot so being around them every day would be really cool. Not only that but learning how to help animals would be really great. Some downsides is working full time with long or irregular hours especially when doing field work. Also, the pay for this job is $60,250 per year and $29.10 per hour which is substantially lower than the other jobs I chose. To make up for all this though is the experience I would gain everyday when I would go to work and it would be amazing. Being out in nature dealing with animals is definitely a fantastic experience if you ask me. To get this job I would need a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree if I want higher level investigative or scientific work and a PHD is necessary.
